Christmas Eve night we stayed with my parents. Peter and I don’t usually stay there, since they live so close, but who wants to wake up Christmas morning in the apartment where we didn’t even have a tree? Good thing we stayed because we had a great time!
First the kitchen from Grandma and PaPa F had to be but together by a few of Santa’s elves on Christmas Eve.
But someone was awfully excited to see it on Christmas morning!
And some new Thomas trains of course.
But then back to the kitchen (ahem, please observe the manliness of this kitchen)!
Then the real opening began. Baby Z even got a few gifts, including this little sleeper that I found that is the exact color combination I would like for her nursery. Target, as always, is awesome.
Logan got a new CD player with microphones which his loves. He welcomes duets anytime!
And then I may have opened a fabulous present, a new camera! Not that I have really mastered it by any means, but I have taken a LOT of pictures trying to get the hang of it! I think it will lead to blogging awesomeness, obviously (that may have been the gift givers’ ulterior motive (thanks mom and dad, I love it!).
So the kid opens up a bunch of new toys (puzzles, blocks, CD players, CDs, a tunnel, trains, play food, etc, etc….) and what does he still want to sit and play with? The guitar of course!
Reading the block directions very carefully so he can tell Papa F the right way to do things.
Then he somehow found this hat from Halloween in his toy box. Because, you know, Christmas trees and jack-o-lanterns are always in pictures together!

We left almost everything at my parents house (besides the guitar and CD player) because taking it all back to the apartment for 2 weeks seems silly. It’ll be like new toys all over again!
We left to come to Peter’s parents house and the fun continued! We were so lucky to be able to see everybody on Christmas. We had a great dinner with Uncle Brian, Aunt Kim, and the boys, and then…more presents!
Logan has officially mastered gift opening, no help for this kid anymore.
Look! A table! Grandma and PaPa K got me my own table and chairs. It’s going to be perfect for the new house.
And lots of new cars too! Jackpot!
Baby Z was spoiled at their house too. For a little girl who started out with zero outfits yesterday morning, she now has 6! Now I just need to find some bows to go with them…hehehe…
The fun has continued into today. We are a happy bunch, relaxing and just hanging out!

Lots of awesome gifts. He'll be ready to start his own rock band after this Christmas.
