It’s October!

So, this is actually just an experiment, nobody get too excited! A new app appeared and I’m curious if it works...so here goes!

Well, July, part 2

Um...yeah, that was a long break! And it may be like that for a while, who knows. I got mad when it wouldn't post a few weeks ago and gave up. That was right before the beach! So let's see what else led up to that before a post on that (in 5 weeks? ;)

We went to Luray Caverns with the Besties! And it was so fun, despite the mixed reactions these pictures show! It really was fascinating!











Aubrey was quite spirited that day apparently...

And it was free Slurpee Day too, so of course we had to grab one on the way home!



The next day was the relay carnival, a special swim meet that Logan was invited to. It was sooooo HOT. But he had a great time!








I know, you are blown away by the quality of this post. But this one plus the last one gets us all the way to the beach, I'm getting there!

Week 3 and 4 summer

Written like 3 weeks ago...

Hmmm, I should do a post! Let's see what we've been up to. Spoiler, I have not made any 5 course meals, gone to a tropical island, or bought the cutest clothes ever for anyone. I did mop the floor today and it was dirty 5 minutes later. I also cleaned up vomit at 4am (the victim, Aubrey, was totally fine after, some weird fluke). I know, you are shocked at how glamorous it has all been!

It was the 4th of July!

Tonight was a special relay Carnival with 6 different teams. So fun!


We also had a super special trip with the Besties yesterday, but seeing as how it will only let me post 10 pictures at once without freaking out I'll save that one.

About halfway through this summer is looking pretty good! BUSY...surprise, surprise!

Summer Week 2 Recap!

We went fishing with the Bells! Absolutely no fish were caught, and one fishing pole was thrown in the water in an attempt to be a casting master. Oops! But, it was saved, thank goodness (we need our poles for the lake!).








These two are just so darn cute when they are playing well together (WHEN...).


We had fun at Burke Lake Park with the Besties!





(Poor H got squished by me...but she was there!).

We woke up at 4:30 for a swim meet. You know, totally normal...but worth it because Aubrey made it all the way across in free and back without touching and Logan got a legal breaststroke!


We got to visit the Rs new house and have fun with our buddies (much more fun than this picture shows!).


Somebody got her first major haircut today and we all love it!


Two weeks down, and tomorrow is Peter's first day at his new job. We've got this, I just know it!

Tiny Dancer

It's official, this little girl looooooves dance. Today she said, "Mommy, how much longer is summer?" When I told her two months she said, "Oh man, I want it to be shorter so I can go back to dance. I love the stage."

Um, okay. I kind of love this. I loved dance as a child. Loved. So I pretended to just smile, but *squeeeee!!!*

Summer Week 1!

I'm a day late...who would have thought 8 years ago I'd be down to doing this weekly. Ha, who would have thought I'd still be doing this 8 years ago ! That's really how long it's been. Crazy.

So, quick recap of our first week!

We headed to Kings Dominion with swim team...well, a few people from swim team!















Logan scared the $&@! out of us...



We got a pool day with Besties! And this is what happens when you ask 4 kids to pose when all they really want to do is swim...


Aubrey had her dance recital! But I have discovered that this program doesn't like posting all of my pictures at once. So we'll leave it for now and try to post recital tomorrow. Twice in one week, woah!

Yet again...week in review!

Whew, it has been a busy one!

Aubrey's last day at St. Matthews was Tuesday. So thankful for my dad for making this happen for both kids by being the best carpool driver ever!


Tuesday was Grandma's bday and our first grade picnic. Of course we were lucky enough to have her volunteer! And, dad delivered 43 pizzas to us. No big deal. 😂


Wednesday was the last day at Mrs. Condry's. Totally unreal. I've been taking a child there for 7.5 years. So, so crazy to be done.


By this point in the week I was so very done. Like my body was literally aching. Soooo tired! But then. It was the last day of school!!! Yay!!!



I also got this award in our staff superlatives. It pretty much means, "wow, you had some hard kids." But I love it!

Swim meet Saturday, of course! This week Aubrey did it all by herself! No tears. I was so proud! And Logan got his first ever points for the team in a meet!

Then we came home and played with more water...


And they tried to get water in through his belly button. HA!





So here we go into another week! First week of summer, we are so ready!
