3.5 days!
Yay! I made it through what I think was the hardest part of the stretch of craziness! Thursday 3pm- Saturday 4pm...and we came out all right!
But without a whole lot of pictures. Here's what we've been up to!
Two nights in a row I missed bedtime. I'm not used to that. Aubrey demanded proof that I came in to give her a kiss when I got home!
SWIM! Um, it was interesting. Logan did great, scored 12 points for the team which is a first for him, legal butterfly again too! And he swam breaststroke for the first time in a meet.
Aubrey, well, she panicked. I kind of thought it might happen. Got up there and there were TEARS. She wouldn't get in. Finally the coach got in with her and she swam across. They didn't have to actually touch her or help her swim, she was just scared of "what if" and all the people watching her. Ah, my Aubrey.
Three five year old girls on the swim team this year...all Springwoods teacher kids, love it!
And, the end of soccer! Logan played SO hard, it was awesome!
Aubrey's last game too! It was hot, hot, hot today. We used the big tent 3 times this weekend! But she did great and so did Coach Z!
3.5 days!!! I am so excited I just might burst. Lots to do, but oh it is so very worth it!!!

Weekly Update
I don't have much to report, except that my head probably fell off a few days ago. Still going strong though!
We started swim! It was ridiculously cold. But there's Logan, in the head coaches lane. He has to MOVE fast to stay there, we will see!
Logan did a little light babysitting. It was too cute, they sat like this for about 15 minutes!
Mostly because we were dropping off things for this moment - huge retirement dinner. It was stressful and scary and horrifying but I think it went well!
Logan bean plant is on steroids!
Aubrey had the whole game planned out for soccer. She was awesome today and scored a goal!
This week- 2 meetings after school, one more retirement celebration that I'm in charge of, swim each day, pizza and ice cream pick up for swim team set up on Friday night, Time Trials on Saturday morning, soccer Saturday afternoon, soccer Sunday afternoon (last games!).
Whew.
Just FYI, June 15-16 is the light at the end of the tunnel. Like total fabulous days. I may even get a haircut for the first time since July. HA!

Another Week!
Yeah, so I'm pretty sure this is how the blog is going to work for a while! Our week in review...
Saturday we bought some furniture (ohhh, so fun!), went to a carnival for swim, and made it to Costco!
Sunday my parents and I took the kids out to the farm to pick strawberries. We love Great Country Farms and were excited to introduce Grandma and Papa to it!
Today Peter and I went out to a winery where one of my favorite coworkers ks working as a pourer for tastings. It was such a fun tasting and a beautiful day!
Tomorrow starts the craziest 3 weeks ever. Summer swim, soccer, dance recital, 2 retirement parties that I am somehow leading, not to mention the regular end of the year insanity. To say I'm overwhelmed is an understatement to be sure!
But, as I said on Facebook...the light at the end of the tunnel is so, so good, makes it all worth it!
We're coming for you summer!

Random Catch Up
Yeah. Poor Blog. I've got such mixed feelings. Keep going! Let it go! So I'll just Blog when I Blog and life will go on. I think.
Let's see what we've been up to!
Cutie patooties snoozing last weekend!
This was Peter's project...2 cars in the garage for the first time in 5.5 years! And they're both still able to fit in there a week later, ha! Loooooving this!
Tuesday night Aubrey had her Open House for preschool. It's kind of a museum walk of all the things they've done this year. We loved her teachers so much!

Then, just for fun, Aubrey got diagnosed with asthma on Thursday. Good times! For now we're doing the nebulizer twice a day and so far it really does seem to be helping. She doesn't like the steam in her eyes, so she has to wear sunglasses. Of course.
Last night my crazies wanted to sleep in "an underground fort." Um...kind of difficult. But, in a rare moment of genius, I put a fitted sheet over Aubrey's headboard and footboard. Voila!
It was perfect! Or, so they said.
This weekend we had the usual, dance class, 3 soccer games (whew!), grocery shopping, and some silliness thrown in.
Just for fun, a countdown update - 17.5 days!

Mothers Day 2017
Oh my goodness, we had a crazy busy and productive weekend!
Saturday morning we had dance and then I came home and while Peter was working on a project we went crazy cleaning the house and managed to do all the bathrooms, vacuum, and laundry. Then we ran to get Logan's haircut and grocery shop for the week. Whew!
After all that fun we went out to dinner with my parents and grandma for Mother's Day! We hit up my favorite, Chuys!
Somebody had a mouthful of food, picture fail!
Then we had to go eat my favorite dessert, Campbells Custard!
There was some serious checker play.

Here are my lovelies last night. Oh my heart almost burst.
I mean really, they are just the best. And my mama is the best, and my mother in law too. All the mama love!
Today I got to sleep late (after they gave me presents at 6am!), then we got the surprise that soccer was cancelled. I requested that we go to get some new plants, and then I planted the pots for the front porch and new deck boxes. Let's hope it worked! The kids played so well and happily outside, then we had Chipotle for dinner. Double Mexican, it's my kind of weekend!
